About these terms

The Suny platform (suny.energy, the “Platform”) is operated by Petgrave.io Technologies Limited (RC 1960464) (“Suny”, “we”). By using the Platform you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

What Suny is

Suny is a marketplace that connects customers with independent solar and inverter installers. Suny is not an installer, does not perform installations, and is not a party to the contract between you and an installer. Installers matched through the Platform are independent businesses responsible for their own work, pricing, timelines, equipment and warranties.

Estimates and quotes

The system size and cost figures shown during the design process are provisional estimates based on the information you provide. They are not an offer and are confirmed only after a site survey. A final quote is prepared and sent by the matched installer and may differ from the initial estimate.

Identity verification

• Before you can accept a quote or make a milestone payment through the Platform, we require you to verify your identity. We use licensed third-party providers to do this and tell you what we collect and why at the time; see the Privacy Policy.
• A verification result comes from government and third-party data sources. It is not a guarantee about any person, and Suny — not the provider — decides what happens based on it.
• If a check does not pass, we review it manually before making any decision, and you can contact us at hello@petgrave.io to provide more information or ask us to check again.
• We do not store your NIN or BVN. See the Privacy Policy for what we keep and for how long.

Verified and NEMSA-certified markers

“Verified” and “NEMSA-certified” markers on an installer's profile reflect checks carried out at a point in time against third-party and government records. They are not a warranty by Suny of any installer's work, conduct, or current licensing status, and they can change. Suny is not a regulator: it records what happens on the platform and shows each installer's status, but does not certify, license or authorise installers or their work. Suny only matches installers to installation requests where it has checked a current NEMSA certificate; an installer you reach through their own Suny page may not hold one, and their page says so. Suny's project records are not NEMSA inspection, testing or certification, and each installer remains responsible for holding any licence or certification their work requires.

Payments

You pay the installer directly. Suny takes no commission or percentage of any project. Payment is currently by manual bank transfer to the account details shown in your project, milestone by milestone. A payment is confirmed only when our team has verified the transfer landed — telling us you have sent a transfer is not itself confirmation. The next stage of a project is unlocked only once the current milestone payment is confirmed.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Platform lawfully, and not to misuse it (no fraud, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access, no use of another person's identity). You are responsible for your dealings with an installer once matched, including agreeing scope, price and timeline in your contract with them.

Intellectual property

The Platform, its content and its software are owned by Suny or its licensors. You may use them only to use the service as intended.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that estimates, matching results or verification results are complete or error-free, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted. Suny is not liable for the installation work, equipment, conduct, or any agreement between you and an installer.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Suny is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, data or opportunity. Suny's total liability to you for any claim connected with the Platform is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid to Suny in the 12 months before the claim and ₦100,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, misuse the Platform, or where we are required to by law. You can stop using the Platform at any time.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, contact us first and we will try to resolve it in good faith. If it is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue it before the courts of Nigeria. Nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the Platform develops; the current version is always posted here.
